Lab equipements¶

During this project we used the equipment of the Telecom Bretagne’s lab at ISAE. Here is a small presentation.

Here is the legend of the previous picture :

1. Router
2. DVB S2 modulator
3. VST

The interconnexion between the different equipments is as following.

• C1 is the Station.
• C2 is the Hub.
• C3 is the computer which controls the behavior of the modulators M1 and M2.
• C4 is the computer where the physical link is emulated.
• R is the router.

Here is a presentation of the steps to set up the emulated link:

1. Configuration of DVB S2 modulators (Hub and Station) via computer 3. Here is a picture of the configuration interface.

1. Turn on the VST and computer 4.
2. Launching of the channel emulator designed by Telecom Bretagne with the configuration corresponding to the modulators configuration. Here is a picture of the emulator.

It permits to have our emulation of channel, we can choose the SNR of the channel and we are able to see, the emulated modulation. When that part is done we can launch our Streaming or VisioConference.
