h2. Introduction

VoIP and Streaming are protocols/applications more and more used on the Internet in the terrestrial network, indeed 40% of the amount of Internet’s traffic in the US correspond to the giant of the legal streaming Netflix. In addition according an OECD’s report, the streaming represent 90% of the Internet’s traffic in 2014. Moreover there is a rise in the utilisation of applications such Skype/Facetime… theses applications use VoIP-familly protocols.

The satellite links of an geostationary satellite permits to have broadband and broadcast capabilities very interesting for the video transmission. But mobile satellite communication channels are characterized by long transmission delays, variation of these delays, high bit-error-rates, shadowing and the the multipath effect which severely reduce the quality of video services.
