2. Modem MDM 6000

The Newtec MDM6000 Satellite Modem is a versatile modem optimized for a wide range of applications such as IP trunking. The MDM6000 modem is typically installed at both ends of a point-to-point satellite link or at the remote sites of a star network.
The unit can work as a modulator, demodulator or modem depending on the network configuration and integrates seamlessly with terrestrial networks and equipment. The modem is in full compliance with the DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X standards, achieving the highest possible efficiency at maximum service availability.

Modems are plugged in back to back configuration.
The selected modulation is QKSK 3/4. In our case, modems are defined at layer 3 and IP routing is configured giving the IP address of the output modem.
